MECCA (Materials Exchange Center for Community Arts) is a non-profit community arts center and environmental organization.

MECCA strives to make the arts and creativity accessible to all members of our community, and are committed to keeping useable items out of the waste stream. They believe that when the arts and creativity are available, and when we work to protect our natural resources, our community is a vibrant place to call home.

The Comic Arts Festival of Eugene (CAFE) is a celebration of comics, art, and storytelling in the Pacific Northwest. Organized by Books With Pictures Eugene, this free, all-ages event brings together creators, readers, and fans for a day of connection and discovery. CAFE showcases the work of independent cartoonists, small publishers, and local talent, with a focus on uplifting diverse voices and fostering community through the joy of comics.

With guest artists, panels, workshops, and a whole Alley full of amazing comics artists, CAFE is Eugene’s homegrown comics festival—welcoming to longtime fans and curious newcomers alike!

MECCA is hosting a Spooky Swap, which is like a clothing swap for all things spooky.

Bring your unwanted spooky items (decor, costumes, accessories, clothing, and Halloween themed items) and leave with something new!

This event is free and open to everyone.

Join fellow Duck enthusiasts to cheer on our football team with a live DJ, fun giveaways, an inflatable, and special guest appearances at select rallies!

Located in the 5th Street Market Alley, the night before every Ducks home game.

Parents & littles are invited to join MECCA for Saturday morning crafting! On October 11th you can learn to sew a fall leaf pouch. And on the 25th, get into the Halloween spirit as you make a cute + spooky plushy.

Books With Pictures Eugene brings you HARD MODE: GEEK TRIVIA - the ultimate challenge for the bravest and brainiest!

Each month they'll dive into a new, expert-level topic that will put even the most seasoned geeks to the test. From obscure anime references to ancient video game lore, and from forgotten sci-fi novels to intricate comic book universes. Join them for a night of intense questioning, fierce competition, and camaraderie among fellow nerds.

Held in the 5th Street Eateries & Bar, located on the corner of 5th Ave and High Street in Eugene.
