Market Attendant The Market Attendant will pridefully care for the Market and its guests by maintaining clean, safe, inviting, and well maintained facilities. Primarily responsibilities will include janitorial duties, such as: sweeping, mopping, dusting, bathroom services, cleaning windows, bussing tables, taking out the garbage and recycling, and other duties as assigned. This position will help open the Market for daily operations as well as help welcome customers to the 5th Street Public Market. The ideal candidate will provide an attention to detail that will ensure a wonderful customer experience.

Requirements: Upbeat and positive attitude, professional demeanor is a must! High school diploma or GED equivalent. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Security and Parking Lot Attendant The Security and Parking Lot Attendant is accountable for the safety, customer experience, and parking at the 5th Street Public Market. This is accomplished by patrolling premises regularly, removing violators or trespassers from the area, inspect buildings, equipment, and access points. The Security and Parking Lot Attendant will monitor the 5th Street Public Market and adjacent properties, endeavoring to identify suspicious activities and protect the tenants and their assets.  Keeps customer parking lots free of all employees to encourage more patronage of the Market District.

 Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. A current State of Oregon DPSST Unarmed Security Certificate card is optimal, but can be obtained during training. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

 

Parking Attendant The Parking Attendant will monitor parking lots at the 5th Street Public Market and adjacent properties. The Parking Attendant will keep customer parking lots free of unauthorized vehicles to encourage more patronage of the Market District. The Parking Attendant handles violations as needed through the issuing of parking tickets, communicating with violators, and occasionally calling tow trucks.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Construction Laborer

The primary objective of the Construction Laborer is to complete general labor projects and tasks as assigned by the Construction Manager for Obie Companies. Effectively assist in the execution of capital expenditures, tenant improvements, and other construction projects as assigned by Management. Projects may include but are not limited to: frame-to-finish carpentry, drywall, drywall taping, painting, demolition, light concrete, general clean up and material handling.

Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. At least 5 years of construction carpentry experience including framing, flooring, millwork, general labor. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
