Provisions Market Hall: Biscuits & Butter

Nothing tastes quite like layer after flaky layer of a warm biscuit fresh out of the oven. A dollop of melting cultured butter on top? Perfection! This dynamic duo should be a household staple, especially heading into the holidays. Cultured butter is made in a European style, mixing buttermilk or yogurt into fresh pasteurized cream and essentially turning it into tangy, funky crème fraîche. This sophisticated deeply-flavored butter will add a whole new depth to your recipes. Join Marché sous chef Isaiah Martinez for an evening of tasting and technique on buttermilk biscuits and cultured butter. And come away with recipes for host gifts or your holiday table. $40/person.

Provisions Market Hall: Craft Bar & Brew Pairing

There’s a common thread between craft beer and craft chocolate: complex flavor profiles, a tendency toward innovation in an ancient tradition, and a love of deep sensory experience. Together, the magic happens: the combination of malt and carbonation in beer and the creaminess of chocolate create truly remarkable experience. The contrasting textures expand the flavors in the chocolate, while malty/roasty notes enhance the bold flavors of beer. With a focus on small batch craft production of both chocolate and beer, this class is a culinary exploration of two beloved pleasures and how they pair so well. We’ll be tasting side-by-side, guided by a group of chocolatiers–including MAP Chocolates proprietress Mackenzie Rivers–and a lineup of beer chosen by our inhouse experts. $48/person. Register at https://provisionsmarkethall.com/event/craft-bar-brew-pairing/
