What we do year-round:

□ Our logo'ed shopping bags are made of recycled paper, and are great handled reusable bags.
□ We work with vendors that are local and regional as much as possible in order to support our local economy.
□ We carry a variety of eco-friendly products which are marked with signage to highlight the product.
□ We work with vendors who do their part to contribute to environmental programs, use green business practices, or create products with a green mindset. Following is a list of just some of these vendors and what they do.

Eagle Creek strives to minimize material waste and source and manufacture with the least environmentally impactful fabrics, trims and packaging materials. Eagle Creek contributes to environmental programs such as:

The Conservation Alliance. Direct funding to community-based campaigns to protect threatened wild habitat.

P.E.P.Y.: An educational organization, teaching kids about the relationship between the environment and health.

Medicines Global. Delivering basic first aid supplies to medical centers and remote community run health posts.

Travelocity's Travel for Good. A site offering the purchase of carbon offsets. This site also offers travelers access to volunteer opportunities around the world through grants and partnerships.

North County San Diego Escondido Creek Conservancy. This conservancy is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and protection of the natural open space within the Escondido Creek watershed.

North County Community Service. This group provides programs for the economically disadvantaged throughout North County San Diego.

Friends of the River. This is a river conservation group in California dedicated to preserving and restoring California's rivers, streams, and watersheds and advocating for sustainable water management.

Adventure Travel and Trade Association. This association encourages sustainable, environmentally, and culturally sensitive adventure travel practices through education and strategic partnerships.
Timbuk2 supports ethical working conditions and give back to their local community. They us a variety of materials ranging in recycled composition in an attempt to offer the highest quality and eco-friendly product. Their Pro Planet line is 67% natural Hemp fibers and 33% PET from recycled plastic bottles.

ExOfficio Since 1987, ExOfficio has partnered with strong humanitarian groups to help make a difference to people with the greatest need. ExOfficio continues to make a difference by expanding the line-up of renewable fabrications, including organic soy blends and recycled polyester. Here are a few of the humanitarian groups ExOfficio works with.
World Concern, which is an international relief organization.
Medical Teams International, who sends more than 200 volunteer teams each year to provide disaster relief, general medical and dental care, as well as surgery for impoverished people worldwide.
African Wildlife Foundation (AWF) which supports the future prosperity of wildlife resources, wild landscapes and the people of Africa.
Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a nonprofit donor-supported organization, which assures the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.

Baggallini, located in Portland, Oregon, has introduced their Eco line which uses fabric made entirely from recycled plastic bottles. They also offer a variety of bags fold out bags to be used as shopper totes… One less plastic bag to go into the landfill.

Dreamsack. Dreamsacks mission statement is to provide natural products while consciously caring for people and the environment. They offer products in alternative fabrics such as bamboo and soy. They are also involved in a program called Coaching for Hope, a program that not only teaches soccer to youths in third world Africa but also educates at risk youth about HIV and AIDS prevention.
