Fifth Street Public Market is proud to support the non-profit organization Children's Sports Aide by including a donation box for our visitors to donate items in the administration office. The mission of Children's Sports Aide is to provide, free of charge, new and gently used sports gear/equipment to children from low income households in Lane County.

"Pampered Pet" Valentines Event at Lexidog.
Feb 13th "Pampered Pet" Valentines Event
Partnering with Greenhill Humane Society for this event, we have free treat bags (while supplies last), pet massage, teeth cleaning, nail trimming, make your own valentines cards with your pooch.
Donations over a certain amount will receive a free gift bag.
All proceeds go to Greenhill.

HARTWICK'S MONTHLY BAKING CONTESTS-

Free Community Breakfast.
Come celebrate our community and what it means to be "local" at our FREE Community Breakfast at the Market! Our Market staff will be flipping pancakes and scrambling up eggs, so come on down after your crazy morning of Black Friday shopping and relax into the comforts of a home made breakfast in a local Marketplace.
Also, left over food supplies and food donations will be given to Food For Lane county, so we would love it if you would bring a can of food to feed the hungry in our community.
We will also be having free gift wrapping, so bring your presents (no matter where purchased) Friday and Saturday from 10-7 and Sunday from 11-5.

Night of a Thousand Stars.
Night of a Thousand Stars is the Market’s kick off for the holiday season; join us as we light the market with thousands of shining lights to brighten the night.
The evening will be filled with the flavors of the holidays including a Dickens Carolers, a Nutcracker Ballet, a “Grinch” performance by local dance troupe All That Jazz, and the special opportunity to have a complimentary professional picture taken with Santa. The air will be filled with wonderful music, and hot cocoa & eggnog to warm your spirit…
Enjoy the Greenhill Human Society’s “Art for Animals” silent auction and benefit as well as the grand opening of our local artisan Holiday Bazaar at the same time as Night of a Thousand Stars.
The Market lighting and festivities will begin at 5:30pm and end at 8:00 pm.

Who: The Fifth Street Public Market will be hosting a 5 week Holiday Bazaar event!
When: November 20 – December 20. The Holiday Bazaar will be open Fridays & Saturdays from 10am-7pm and Sundays 11am-5pm.
Where: The building formerly occupied by Destinations (the travel store) on the corner of Pearl and Fifth.

Jack-O-Lanterns on 5th.
Jack-O-Lanterns on 5th: A Festival of Monstrous Proportions invites all pumpkin carvers and Halloween enthusiasts to participate in the largest pumpkin display in Oregon. Bring your carved or decorated pumpkin to add to the display at the 5th St. Public Market on October 24th anytime between noon and 9 pm. Events including chainsaw carving and costume contests begin at 4 pm, culminating in a final pumpkin count and pumpkin drop at 10 pm. Coats for Kids: Drop Off Location (Sept 14 - Oct 23).
The Eugene Active 20-30 Club’s annual Coats for Kids project is a community wide coat drive to help keep kids in Lane County keep warm during the winter months.
Coats will be cleaned, free of charge, at participating cleaners and distributed to service agencies in Lane County.
The Active 20-30 Club began Coats for Kids in 1990, receiving and filling 150 requests for coats. Since then, the project has steadily grown to a major community event.

We're throwing a Tag Sale!
We are selling off excess store fixtures, furniture, fine linens, shelving, accessories, and other accumulated items. Also being sold will be miscellaneous items from stores within the Market... everything from marble topped tables to excess inventory.
Come find your treasure at our Tag Sale on August 22nd and 23rd from 9am to 2pm in the former Nike space.

A Thousand Hearts Project Community Art Project at Wandering Goat, Featuring artist Jimmy Mckenny .
Art will be featured inside Wandering Goat by artist Jimmy McKenny. A community art project will be featured outside in the venue's parking lot. Community members are encouraged to participate in painting hearts on a large canvas constructed by artist Jimmy McKenny. All art supplies and paint will be provided. After 1000 hearts are accomplished , the canvas will be cut into smaller pieces and offered to community members for a minimum 20 dollar donation. All profits will be split equally between two local non profit organizations; The Spencer Family Co-Op Art Program and A Family For Every Child Heart Gallery.
